PARUS

1700 sq.m
The modern house is located on the peninsula, in one of the most prestigious areas of the Moscow region. A private pier and a panorama of the river are the primary attributes of such suburban housing.
The architecture of the building enters into a dialogue with these features — so "sails" of fiberglass appear on the facades, giving dynamics to the laconic volumes of the facade. The ivory color of the second floor was not chosen by chance — this is how the sails are illuminated in the soft setting sun. Also, thanks to the color and shape, the second floor seems to hover over the first, looks light, despite the impressive rectangular shapes.

The facade facing the river has a western orientation. To make the most of the rays of the setting sun, we have formed a square-shaped courtyard around which 3 blocks are assembled: a fully glazed two-light living room in the center, on the left — a block of a kitchen-dining room and a glazed terrace, on the right — a block of a SPA area, inside which an 11-meter swimming pool is hidden. On the second floor, behind the white volumes, there are two open terraces- exits from the main bedrooms of the house.

Courtyard with decorative pool and boxwood tree — as the central core -the heart of the house, around which the main rooms are built.
From the side of the river, the facade looks impressive due to the symmetrical composition, it is distinguished only by the blocks of the pool and the kitchen-dining room, which protrude at different distances.

Symmetry inspires a person with a sense of balance, calmness and inner balance. But perfect symmetry brings boredom and looks "unnatural". In the layout, we skillfully alternated the techniques of symmetry and asymmetry, forming view axes that permeate various parts of the house. Thus, it is impossible to change something in one part of the house without using the other. Such an interconnected composition gives a sense of harmony when moving through the space and the house is perceived as a whole.
The entrance area is always an accent, and we like to emphasize it in the composition. The one and a half volume of the entrance hall is highlighted on the main facade by an l-shaped portal. Glazing gives depth, and the shape entering the interior blurs the boundary between the interior and the exterior space.
There is a bridge inside the house- it is formed by the corridor of the second floor, located between the high volumes of the entrance hall and the living room. This kind of leitmotif to the river theme creates an interesting game of internal forms of space.

From the side of the main facade there is a low protruding volume — a garage for 4 parking spaces and a staff house. Also, all the economic and service zones were hidden in it. This volume is specially understated so as not to argue with the smooth line of the facade of the main house.

The spectacular appearance of the main facade is given by the picturesque texture of the Illusion Bronze quartzite, which we used on the garage portals and the entrance area. Its natural shades echo the gray-brown stone Soapstone in the decoration of the first floor, and warm shades of fiberglass concrete in the decoration of the second.
Metal perforated bronze-colored grilles for the necessary privacy of some local areas gently let in light and give the facade noble highlights.

Warm natural shades are softeners of perfectly calibrated laconic forms of the facade, so that the house looks inviting and organic to nature.

A country house is a place where we want not only to admire the natural environment, but and integrate it as much as possible inside. Hence this love for sliding panoramic windows and plants on the terrace. In this project, we went further and designed the glazed areas of the pool and kitchen-dining room according to the structural angle system without a rack. Thus, the two sides of the glazing completely move apart, creating a continuous panorama.
