A house in the woods, and even with a steep ravine

For us, this is a great opportunity to arrange the house in different levels according to the relief, giving it more expressiveness

In numbers: there are more than 200 trees on the site, mostly beautiful large-sized firs, pines and oaks, and the relief drop to the ravine is about 15 meters

House on a forest plot with a pronounced relief

The living room of 80 sq.m. with large panoramic windows is the central core and heart of the house

On the 2nd floor, the bedrooms are grouped into blocks: guest bedrooms, in the central part of the house there are children’s bedrooms with a single balcony, a master bedroom area with male and female dressing rooms and private access to an open roof terrace

The ideas of landscape, architecture and design are interrelated and integral
In the wooded area, paths and terraces with ladders and retaining walls form a picturesque walking route

The concept and scenarios for the use of the site were formed in parallel with the development of the spatial planning solution of the house

The main architectural task is to organically fit the contour of the new house

The house had to minimally affect the forest area and become a continuation of the natural environment

The 330 sq. m garage continues the style of the house. It is solved in the form of 2 volumes cutting at small angles and protruding floor consoles

On the 1st floor there is a garage for 4 cars and security rooms

On the 2nd floor there is a zone with staff rooms and a separate block of guest rooms

The image of the house embodies the client’s ideas about modernity and luxury

The facade is built on the contrast of colors and finishes

The forest theme of the environment inspired us to the style of ornaments

The modern approach was expressed in the principles of flexible layout, flat roofs, minimalistic fences, panoramic windows, laconic forms of the facade

On the one hand, smooth surfaces of dark and light shades of large-format slabs of porcelain stoneware from the Archskin collections

On the other hand, rich ornaments of bas-reliefs made of fiberglass and decorative brass grilles

Complicate the drawing of the facade, the layout of the stone and the nature of the architectural illumination

The prototype of the ornament on the facade was a
spruce branch, reinterpreted into a complex geometric pattern. The pattern of metal lattices is based on the image of a fir cone. Its fragment is distributed on grids with a gradient effect, forming a non-repeating pattern

Against the background of the stone surfaces of the facade, brass grilles will effectively shimmer in the sun and create a play of light and shadow not only on the facades, but also in the premises

The idea of a polyline geometry on the facades flows smoothly onto the retaining walls of the site, creating a single composition

The house turned out to be compact — there is no extra space in it, but only the most necessary for the client’s family

The house is built on the proportions of the golden section with a pronounced emphasis on the main entrance

Composition of the house

The consoles protruding at the corners create the same game as on the main facade, and close the children’s balcony and patio area from precipitation

The concept of a space-planning solution was formed in the process of searching for ideal interconnections of rooms, taking into account space-spatial proportions, visual axes, relief differences and the game of geometric shapes

The protruding consoles of the floors of the 2nd floor turn into massive pylons with bas-reliefs and frame the facade

Located at small angles relative to the plane of the facade, they create an inviting effect

On one side of the plot, the image of the house is presented in the form of a two-storey volume of the main room and a one-storey block of a SPA area with a 12-meter pool embedded in it at right angles

The contour of the house and the SPA area are united by continuous terraces, they are also included in the circular walking route along the site

The terraces overlook the SPA, pool, living room, dining room and patio. In addition to its southern orientation, the terraces are located on an elevation and have beautiful views of the slope

They will be a great place to relax, gatherings with friends, sunbathing on sun loungers

Composition of the house
On the left side ends with a terrace with a hot tub and sun loungers — an ideal place for privacy and relaxation

On the right side of the facade there is a small one-storey block — a patio area with a barbecue, a summer kitchen and a spacious sitting area with a fireplace

The dining room for 20 people has a connection with both the patio area and the kitchen, its location is convenient for any use case

The author’s architecture is born from a single semantic approach to design

The house is built on the understanding of taste, individual preferences and values of the client, in the synthesis of functional and aesthetic filling

This house has become the embodiment of ideas about a comfortable environment, proximity to nature, combining the features of luxury and modern lifestyle
